I dont know whether you are just getting started in network marketing or not, perhaps you are a veteran of the industry or maybe you are doing some research into how to make money online. It doesnt really matter, where you are in the mix, you will have to or already have had to face some or all of the challenges in building a successful home business. It comes with the territory, we all go through it, you have to if you are going to develop a solid residual income. I joined a very solid company called Usana about three/four years ago and I want to relate some of those experiences, particularly with Usana leads. Then I want to share a new way of building a business.
Let's take a look at Usana leads, and this applies to any other lead you may come across. When you first join a MLM company the traditional method of getting people started is to ask the new distributor to go and make a list of family, friends and anyone else that you can think of and that includes anyone with whom you have had any dealings with in the past. You will be surprised at how many you ca come up with. Having done that, it is now time for you to approach each and every one of them about your new found opportunity. That is easy for some, but not many, most people have difficulty with approaching family and friends, not so much the others. Your success will depend on your desire and personality. Enough of that part, my point in this article is to talk about leads and it is at about this point in the new distributors journey that there is a need for new people to talk to.
I have approached all of the people on my list, what do I do now? Go and get some Usana leads. There are ways of getting leads, you can get free leads and they are worth what you pay for them. Zero. Dont believe me, then try some. The other two main ways are to buy leads or to generate your own.
Here is just a sampling of what Usana leads can cost you, keeping in mind that your conversion ratio will probably be 1-3% (if you are lucky) -- in other words, out of 100 leads, you might get 1-3 people who will join your business and/or buy your product(s) -- depending upon just how good the leads really are, and there are no guarantees on results.

Here is a bit of a Heads Up and it doesnt really matter which route you take in your purchase.
You will need to call hundreds of them to find one who is remotely interested. You will need to have excellent telemarketing skills. You will need to take the abuse and rejection that you will receive from 90% of the people you call. You may be very good at telemarketing and rejection doesn't bother you. Personally, I do not know many people who can say that they are good at closing leads, the majority of people are not, meaning your business will be difficult, at best, to grow in this way.
The other way as I mentioned earlier is to generate your own Usana leads, to do that you need a lead capture page, an auto responder, and an adword campaign via the search engines, Google being the largest of them all. These leads will be more targeted, fresher and hopefully more likely to remember filling out your lead capture form. You will still have the same conversion problems that you had with the Usana leads that you bought.
After a considerable period of time I became a little dejected and this led me to look for other ways to build a significant business on the net. After all it wasn't for the lack of trying but the Usana leads that I bought were completely unresponsive and that led me to believe that some of the things you read about the lead generation companies reselling leads and being unethical about how they market those leads may indeed be true.
Buy Customers Not Leads. Never again will you have to buy or generate your own Usana leads again.
